Stauffer Glove and Safety offers Meltblown Technologies absorbents for all your spill containment needs. Choosing the proper spill containment product can be difficult because adsorbents are used to contain and absorb a variety of spills. Be prepared and know what product is the best fit for the job.

Universal absorbents are all-purpose clean-up products for oils, coolants, solvents, and water-based fluids. Universal absorbents are designed for routine uses within a facility. They can be used around machinery, under pipes, and in messy traffic areas. Gray in color, universal absorbents can be found as pads, rolls, and socks.

Oil Only

Oil-Only absorbents are designed to absorb oil spills and other petroleum based liquids while repelling water. Oil absorbents should be used over universal absorbents when oil is mixed or floating on water, such as an oil spill in a lake or oil floating in a holding tank. Oil only absorbents are white in color and be found as pads, rolls, and socks.

Spill Kit

A spill kit is an all-in-one container which stores gear and equipment used for cleaning up hazardous material spills. There are different types of spill kits that can be broken down into three categories: general purpose, oil, and hazmat.  General purpose spill kits are made with gray absorbents making them ideal for cleaning up water, coolants, and solvents. Oil only spill kits contain white absorbents that are designed to clean up hydrocarbons such as oil and gasoline. Lastly, hazmat kits are designed for spills involving highly corrosive acids and solvents.
